Friday, September 4, 2015 — Medical missionary and global health consultant Kristy Engel will give a presentation at First Baptist Church of Shelton, CT, and you are warmly invited to attend, and to bring family and friends. Kristy is an RN and pediatric nurse practitioner who served for many years as a medical missionary at Good Samaritan Hospital in La Romana, a city of The Dominican Republic (DR), and who also served in outreach to Haitian communities in that country. Kristy now serves as a global health consultant with International Ministries of the American Baptist Churches, USA. In this role, she travelled to Africa early in 2015 to work with local people in addressing the Ebola crisis. Some in our church family have greatly enjoyed working alongside Kristy during brief mission trips to The Dominican Republic, and we feel confident that you will enjoy meeting her in person and hearing her speak. Kristy’s last visit here pointed us to what God is doing with people who are in great need, and showed us how God uses willing hearts and hands to help in whatever work or support is needed.
Join us on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 6 pm for a free pizza dinner, followed by a presentation and conversation with Kristy. Dress is casual, and childcare will be available. For more information, please call our church office at 203 929-7704, and leave a message.
Location: First Baptist Church of Shelton, 178 Leavenworth Rd (Route 110), Shelton, Connecticut.
