Outreach

Reaching out to others is an essential part of our lives as followers of Jesus Christ — both in our personal lives and as the faith community of First Baptist Church of Shelton, CT. Current opportunities include:

Bible studies
Members of our congregation offer various biblically based discussion groups in the community and at local nursing homes.

Missions trips to Good Samaritan Hospital
Good Samaritan Hospital is situated in La Romana, a city of The Dominican Republic (DR). Members and friends of First Baptist Shelton, CT travel annually to the DR to serve in medical work, construction, and other tasks. People with all skills and levels of ability are welcome. Teens may also travel to take part in DR missions through one of our sister churches. Training and preparation meetings are required.
